This month we have donated £2000 to Creative Spaces Co. to support their Story Box at Home project.
Creative Spaces Co. animate spaces with book clubs, creative play, storytelling and art workshops; helping to build stronger communities, improve people’s health and create more active citizens.
They have been working exceptionally hard over the last nine months to ensure that children can still benefit from their amazing work despite Covid19 restrictions. In the Summer they took The Story Box online and provided free books and activity packs to children and families.
We wanted to support their festive edition of The Story Box at Home this year! Creative Spaces Co. will gift books and activity packs to children across Liverpool City Region.
All books used in the activity packs have been purchased from local bookstore, Linghams Booksellers based in Heswall, supporting our local businesses in this tough year.
Rachael O’Byrne the founder of Creative Spaces Co. said: “We love delivering our reading events in libraries and community spaces but as we can’t come together right now, The Story Box at Home is a great alternative! We’ll be reading some festive favorites online and gifting a beautiful book as well as activity packs to over 150 families. We’re delighted to be working with M&Y Maintenance and Construction to make this happen.”
Gill Kelly, Managing Director at M&Y Maintenance and Construction added: “We are so excited to support Creative Spaces Co. this year as, after all, this is what M&Y is all about; creating profit for purpose! We hope to support Creative Spaces Co. in the new year with further campaigns, but what better way to end this year than spreading some fun and happiness across our communities and supporting a great local social enterprise and local bookshop.”
Families can register for their free Story Box at Home packs HERE and collect from community venues in Liverpool, St Helens and Wirral.
