We are pleased to announce that we have successfully completed a fire door contract with Onward Homes. The contract involved upgrades to almost 30 ancillary fire doors and to communal areas at Onwards retirement homes in Greater Manchester.
The improvements were delivered amidst COVID-19 restrictions, although we ensured that we still provided a safe and secure working environment for not only our staff but residents.
This was the first project we have delivered working in partnership with Onward Homes following a competitive tender exercise, and it proved to be a great success for both parties.
Chris Kelly, Head of Repairs at M&Y, said: “This was a rewarding project to work on for Onward Homes and we’re delighted to say the project was a great success.”
Dennis Gilbert, Leasehold surveyor at Onward Homes, said: “Having recently completed the project with M&Y, I can honestly say that the care for our property and more importantly our customers was first class. From the senior management team to the installers on-site they all supported our customers throughout, and very importantly they were a pleasure and so easy to work with. The communication from beginning to end was flawless and the few obstacles that we faced during the work were handled with care and professionalism.
He continued, “M&Y left our property clean and tidy at the end of each working day. Before this project we hadn’t worked with M&Y, and going into a major project in the middle of a national pandemic was a tough call to make. M&Y quickly eased our fears and showed us a real commitment for excellence, and we look forward to working with them again in the future.”
