72 apartment extra care scheme handed over

We’re delighted to hand over Lighthouse View, a £12 million, 72 unit extra care scheme in Fleetwood, to social landlord, Regenda Homes.

Work on Lighthouse View began in 2018, with Bardsley Construction named as the principle contractor on the site. Unfortunately, in December 2019, Bardsley Construction entered administration.

We were asked to complete works on Lighthouse View to get it ready for residents to move into. This included carrying out mechanical and electrical works, plastering, flooring and landscaping works and decorating throughout. We were ready to start on site in March 2020 but were unable to when construction sites were closed due to the national lockdown.

Our health and safety team worked tirelessly to ensure that, once sites reopened, we’d be able to work safely.

Gill Kelly, Managing Director of M&Y Maintenance and Construction, said: “It was a real privilege to be asked to complete this incredible, flagship development for Regenda Homes. Lighthouse View will provide 72, high quality one and two bedroom homes to Fleetwood residents. With beautiful communal areas and landscaped gardens, Lighthouse View will be the perfect place to call home.”

Garry Payne, Chief Executive of Wyre Council, commented: “We are incredibly proud to work in partnership with Regenda to deliver these much needed homes to residents of Fleetwood. These new homes will provide great quality and secure homes for older residents.”
