Gill Kelly

Managing Director

Gill Kelly joined in Dec 2009 post M&Y’s Regenda Group acquisition. Former Finance Director, she propelled M&Y to a £2.5M turnover responsive repairs contractor for housing associations. Gill merged internal and private segments into a competitive service, growing M&Y to a £20M turnover business. Now offering planned maintenance, construction, responsive repairs, voids care, gardening, and specialised services.

Gill excels in growth, diversification, and customer-centricity, with a dynamic commercial approach. She introduced Investors in People, global quality standards, and champions standardised, top-tier practices and people management. Gill ensures strategic service delivery with high satisfaction and compliance.

Michael Birkett

Group Chief Executive

Michael BSc (Hons), MBA, MSC, DSocSci, FCIH  joined Regenda as Group Chief Executive and member of the Board in March 2014. Before joining Regenda, Michael spent eight years as Chief Executive of The Calico Group and earlier in his career held senior roles at The Aspire Group and Liverpool Housing Action Trust. He has also been Chairman of Ring Stones Maintenance and Construction Limited and has held Non-Executive Director roles at a number of organisations. Michael has a Doctorate from the University of Bristol and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Michael works with the Regenda Board to develop the Group’s Strategy. He is responsible for the attainment of the agreed strategic objectives, day-to-day Group performance, the leadership of staff and the development of external partnerships.

Tony Russell

Group Executive Director of Resources

As Executive Director of Resources, Tony is responsible for Finance, Business Assurance, People Services, ICT and Communications. He has over 20 years experience in the housing sector, providing leadership and direction across multi-disciplinary teams in large and medium sized North West based groups, including traditional and stock transfer organisations.

Tony has significant experience of financing, group restructuring, acquisitions, organisational transformation and regulation. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a Charterd Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Stewart Bonnette

Board

With more than 36 years working in the construction and engineering sector, Stewart has worked with national and international contracting businesses, including 10 years of commercial management in the United Arab Emirates and Oman.

In the UK he has held several Board level appointments including Managing Director in a number of private and public-quoted construction companies, operating both regionally and nationally, with sales of >£750m per annum.

He has extensive practical knowledge of all current forms of construction procurement including PPP/ PFI, Partnering and Frameworks, Design and Build, Design and Build Operate and Transfer and Performance Based Contracting.
